Red Hill Fire Tower
Join outdoor leaders, Bill and Todd, for the second installment in our official Catskills Fire Tower Series.
On this hike we will climb 1,167 feet over the course of 1.75 miles to catch a fantastic view of the Catskills high peaks and Roundout Reservoir from the Red Hill observation tower.
Initiated in 2019 and organized by the DEC, the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge rewards hikers for visiting all six of the Catskill fire towers in one calendar year. Complete the challenge with us and get the commemorative patch! Check out the challenge rules here. Missed hiking a tower with us? Worry not! There will be multiple opportunities to hike each tower in 2024.
