Frozen Waterfall Hike

Join our outdoor leaders for a winter hike to remember! This 3.9-mile hike through scenic Platte Clove Preserve in the Catskills checks all the boxes for an enjoyable winter hike, and is home to old bluestone quarries, great views and at this time of year, frozen waterfalls! After our hike we will take some time to explore a local Catskills town. DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

This trail offers a mix of rocky terrain, mixed hardwood and conifer forest, and rewarding views. We will take a side trip to explore an abandoned mine if conditions allow. Explore the serene beauty of the outdoors while learning the art of birding on a 1.8-mile walk along the Stonykill Sierra Trail. This beginner-friendly outing will cover methods for finding and identifying birds using binoculars, ID books and tech. Space is limited.
