Come spend the weekend relaxing, learning new skills and making memories with your fellow veterans & first responders on an amazing two-day, one-night introductory backpacking adventure in Harriman State Park.
Interested in backpacking but don’t know where to start? Join Another Summit for this intro to backpacking class where you’ll learn new skills that’ll help you get even more from your time outdoors. On this two-day, one-night adventure you’ll learn:

This outing will take place in Harriman State Park, a beautiful natural area spanning 47,500 acres with multiple access points that are accessible by public transportation from NYC.

Yellow adventures are great for people who are looking to spend several hours on the trail. Some backpacking and paddling adventures can fall into this category.
DISTANCE: 7 - 10 miles
DURATION: 2 days

Another Summit
Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — such as walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York & across the Northeast.
We welcome guardians of all ages and ability levels, including those with accessibility needs, and we work to facilitate access throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC area.
Our outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.
