Women Veterans Recognition Brunch
Join us for a special opportunity to recognize & celebrate local women veterans and gain insights into their remarkable history, service, and experiences — in the military and beyond. Brunch to be provided by Ledley Catering as we hear from wonderful women veterans from our local community.

Veterans Day Ceremony
The American Legion, VFW, Marine Corps League, Nam Knights, and Guardian Revival will be hosting a special Veterans Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Building in Beacon on Saturday, November 11. Please join us at 10:45 as the ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 AM ET.
Veterans Appreciation Chow Down
Join Guardian Revival and your fellow veterans for the 10th Annual Veterans Appreciation Chow Down at the Putnam County Golf Course. The Chow Down is a sit-down meal served family style with live entertainment, music, giveaways, and more! Free for local veterans & one guest each.
Women Guardians Outing | November
For our November Women Guardians Outing, join our outdoor leaders for an exciting 2.2-mile out-and-back hike up to the viewpoint on Anthony's Nose just outside of Cortlandt, NY. DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Encore Day Retreat
Join us for a day of music and equine activities with a small group of fellow guardians, led by Encore’s Program Director, Matthew Sorena, and hosted at The Equus Effect. Guardians of any musical skill level are welcome to join — using your own instrument or one of ours.
Transit to Trails | Bull HIll
Join our outdoor leaders for the next installment in our Transit to Trails Series. This month, we'll be doing one of our favorite transit-accessible hikes -- the Bull Hill Loop! This 7.3-mile loop will provide awe-inspiring views of the Hudson River Valley in fall. DIFFICULTY: 🟥 Red (strenuous)
Fright at the Farm
Join Guardian Homefront as our guest, at NO CHARGE, for this spooky event at Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue. Enjoy live music from Way Behind the Sun and some other fun surprises on the farm!

Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue is proud to be the only program in Dutchess County authorized by NYS to provide equine assisted programming to our men and women. We offer sanctuary to 47 horses, sharing our mission of "People Helping Horses Heal People" with the community.
Immersive Equine Experience
Horses are naturally sensitive to human emotions, making them incredible partners in this journey. Through ground-based horsemanship, we guide you through a hands-on experience to develop non-verbal communication skills, emotional agility, and tools to stay grounded in high-stress situations.
Mindfulness Walk | Poet’s Walk
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Elena on a meditative 2.15-mile mindfulness walk through Poets’ Walk, a scenic sanctuary nestled along the majestic Hudson River near Rhinebeck and Red Hook in Dutchess County. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)
Companion Dog Awarding
We’re awarding SEVERAL puppies to their guardians! Companion dog awardings are memorable moments where we introduce a puppy and their guardian. We hope you’ll join us for this special event with sponsor Lexitas.

Transit to Trails | Cornish Estate
Join our outdoor leaders Joe and Elena on the third installment of our Transit to Trails series. This month we'll travel to Cold Spring, NY, where we will explore the ruins of the old Cornish Estate in the Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve. Transit Accessible via the Metro-North Hudson Line. Cat’s Rock Day Hike
Join our outdoor leaders on a scenic 6.5-mile out-and-back day hike over a popular boardwalk across Pawling's Great Swamp, up Corbin Hill past the Great Dover Oak and finally up to a spectacular overview of Pawling farmlands at Cat's Rock. DIFFICULTY: 🟨 Yellow (moderately strenuous)

Women Guardians Outing | September
For our September Women Guardians Outing, you can join outdoor leaders Elena and Dawn on a peaceful walk along the estuaries of the Hudson River in Beacon, NY. On this outing, we'll explore the historic Madame Brett Park and scenic Dennings Point, for a total of 3.71 miles. DIFFICULTY: 🟦Blue (easy)
Spouse/Partner Self Care Series
You can’t pour from an empty cup! Join us for this interactive presentation to develop a tool kit and plan for YOUR self-care. Come fill your cup….you are worth it!
This presentation will be given by Amanda Boccardi, LMSW-who is a guardian family member. Amanda will examine the eight dimensions of wellness and how you can incorporate them into your daily routine, promoting your physical and emotional wellness.
Amanda has been working in the mental health field since 2015, serving children, individuals, groups, and families in different capacities, as well as involvement in community organization and advocacy. Amanda emphasizes a person-centered approach, with the belief that each individual is unique, and their experiences are their own. With this belief, Amanda strives to create an environment for all those she works with which fosters safety, trust, empowerment and healing.
