Fly Fishing Cohort: 1st Session
Join a year-long journey into the world of fly fishing, alongside fellow guardians— whether you're totally new to fly fishing or looking to refine your technique.
Fly fishing is the sport of catching fish, usually trout, with a light action gear (rod & reel), weighted line, and an artificial fly. It's recognizably by the rhythmic art of casting, making it an incredibly engaging (yet meditative) way to fish that many anglers find to mirror hunting more closely than conventional fishing.
Our cohort-style course is designed for anglers of all levels, making it the perfect opportunity to either start or deepen your journey. Over 12 months (via one in-person session per month) plus an exciting camping trip in August, you’ll learn everything you need to become a confident, knowledgeable angler and enjoy the outdoors in a new way.
WHO: Guardians only — exclusively open to veterans, active military, and first responders.
