Mindfulness Walk | Rockefeller State Park
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on a peaceful countryside walk around picturesque Swan Lake in the Rockefeller State Park Preserve just outside of Pleasantville, NY.
DIFFICULTY: 🟪 Purple (easiest)

Earth Week Trail Cleanup
Join Another Summit for our 2025 Trail Cleanup in celebration of Earth Day.

Family Fishing Day
Join us for a fun, family-friendly fishing outing at Pelton Pond — offered as part of April, the month of the military child. This event is a collaboration with Another Summit, our outdoor adventure program. Fishing gear & bait and refreshments will be provided.

Spring Birding
Join Another Summit on a 1.5 mile spring birding walk on the Sierra Trail at the Stonykill Farm Environmental Education Center just outside Fishkill, NY.
DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Mindfulness Walk | Stony Kill Farm
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on an easy 1 mile meditative walk on the scenic Sierra Trail at Stony Kill Farm, just outside of Fishkill, NY.
DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Mindfulness Walk | Cornish Estate
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on an easy 1.8 mile meditative walk along a mostly paved path that is tucked away in the woods of Cold Spring, NY in the Hudson Highlands State Park.
DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Pine Swamp Loop
Join our outdoor leaders on a scenic 3.1-mile hike on the Pine Swamp Mountain Loop in Harriman State Park, NY.
DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Mindfulness Walk | Bear Mountain
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on a peaceful mindfulness walk along a paved 1.4-mile loop around historic Hessian Lake in Bear Mountain State Park. A rocky outcrop provides the perfect spot to admire the beautiful scenery, such as the tranquil lake and views of the surrounding hills. DIFFICULTY: 🟪 Purple (easiest)

Snow Sports at Thunder Ridge
Join us with partner with Hudson Valley Shred Vets for a free snow sports day on Thunder Ridge Mountain with your family — ski or snowboard (free equipment & lessons available too!) Participants can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or come enjoy the lodge.

Frozen Waterfall Hike
Join our outdoor leaders for a winter hike to remember! This 3.9-mile hike through scenic Platte Clove Preserve in the Catskills checks all the boxes for an enjoyable winter hike, and is home to old bluestone quarries, great views and at this time of year, frozen waterfalls! After our hike we will take some time to explore a local Catskills town. DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Mindfulness Walk | Pelton Pond
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on a peaceful 1-mile mindfulness walk through the scenic woods of Pelton Pond in Fahnestock State Park. Our walk will end at the pavilion, where we will warm up with a campfire and hot cocoa, and a mindful practice of releasing something into the fire which we either hope for or want to let go of. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

2025 Transit Equity Day Walk
Celebrate Transit Equity Day a little early with Another Summit on a transit-accessible walk through the quaint village of Cold Spring, NY — one of the best portals to the outdoors that's accessible from NYC using public transit only, no car needed! This outing highlights the importance of equitable access to transportation and nature for all communities, including guardians and their families. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Winter Birding
Explore the serene beauty of the outdoors while learning the art of birding on a 1.8-mile walk along the Stonykill Sierra Trail. This beginner-friendly outing will cover methods for finding and identifying birds using binoculars, ID books and tech. Space is limited. All materials (ID books, binoculars) will be available to borrow. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Fly Fishing Cohort: 1st Session
Join a year-long journey into the world of fly fishing, alongside fellow guardians. Our cohort-style course is designed for anglers of all levels. Over 12 months (via one in-person session per month) plus an exciting camping trip in August, you’ll learn everything you need to become a confident, knowledgeable angler and enjoy the outdoors in a new way.

DIY (Fire) Tinder Making Workshop
Join Another Summit for an afternoon of DIY fun as we learn to make effective, easy to carry tinders for your 10 Essentials fire kit. The ability to quickly start a fire can be a life saver in a survival situation. We will learn to make several types of DIY "quick tinders" that you can keep and easily recreate at home. Aside from making quick tinders, we will also work on fero rod striking technique. All materials will be provided. Please note children are welcome but must be supervised by a parent. DIFFICULTY: 🟪 Purple (easiest)

Watch the last sunset of 2024!
DIFFICULTY: 🟨 Yellow (moderately strenuous)
DISTANCE: 4 miles
DURATION: 4 - 5 hours

Guardian Wellness Weekend
Join us for a weekend of rejuvenation and connection with events designed for both guardians and their families to enhance their wellness through mind, body, and music. From a cozy campfire to a relaxing hike, a fun ukulele workshop, and calming meditation & yoga sessions, there's something for everyone.

Links for Vets Golf Scramble
Guardian Revival has been selected to receive 100% of proceeds from the Links for Vets Golf Scramble hosted by The Links at Union Vale. Organizations (or individuals) can choose to sponsor a hole or be a tournament sponsor, and we greatly appreciate your support.

Snow Sports at Thunder Ridge
Join us as we partner with Hudson Valley Shred Vets for an afternoon/evening of snow sports at Thunder Ridge Mountain. Participants can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or come enjoy the lodge.

New Year’s Day Walk & Hike
Join us in celebrating the new year by getting outside and participating in one of our New Year's Day activities: an easy walk around Little Stony Point or a moderate hike up Bull Hill. DIFFICULTIES: 🟦 Blue (easy) & 🟨 Yellow (moderately strenuous)

New Year’s Eve Sunset Hike
Join us in closing out the last day of 2023 by watching the sunset from the casino ruins viewpoint on Mount Beacon. Bring a friend, something to sit on, and celebrate the end of the year with a beautiful sunset (weather permitting) and great conversation. Hot drinks provided! DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Jamaica Bay Nature Walk
Join our Outdoor Leader Jesse M. on a peaceful nature walk around West Pond in the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. On this walk, you'll be able to admire the beauty of Jamaica Bay, one of the largest bird habitats in the northeastern US and a great place to observe migrating and local bird species. This outing is wheelchair accessible and public transit accessible. DIFFICULTY: 🟪 Purple (easiest) ♿

Women Guardians Outing | October
For our October Women Guardians Outing, join us on a relaxing nature walk around the scenic, historical Irvington Woods, one of the largest forested areas in Westchester County. You'll get to explore and enjoy the serene beauty of the woods in early fall, with a chance to see local wildlife! DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Breakneck Wednesdays
Join us every Wednesday for a short but challenging fast-paced hike to the flagpole on Breakneck Ridge! With a 1/4 mile, intense rock scramble followed by an awe inspiring viewpoint & an easy route back down, this is the perfect after-work hike. DIFFICULTY: 🟥 Red (strenuous)
