What Is Birding?
Birding is the simple act of observing and identifying birds, turning an everyday walk into an exciting discovery of the world around you. It’s an activity that sharpens your senses, deepens your connection to nature, and provides a sense of calm and mindfulness — especially in the quiet stillness of winter.
Winter is an ideal time to spot species that are easier to see without dense foliage, including migratory birds that settle in the area. Birding doesn’t require prior experience — just a willingness to look, listen, and learn. And as we know, spending time in nature can reduce stress and improve overall well-being. Birding adds a layer of curiosity, focus, and fun!
