For our October Women Guardians Outing, join our Outdoor Leader Elena on a relaxing nature walk around the scenic, historical Irvington Woods.
One of the largest forested areas in Westchester County, the Irvington Woods is home to a scenic reservoir, historical landmarks, and several miles of nature trails that wind throughout the forest. On this outing, you'll get to explore and enjoy the serene beauty of the woods in early fall, with a chance to see local wildlife!

Women Guardians Group Adventures
The 1st Saturday of every month, we host a Women Guardians Group Adventure — an opportunity for women veterans & first responders to gather, connect, and explore nature & outdoor activities together.
WHAT: A range of activities — hikes, nature walks, kayaking, meditation, nature education, and more!
WHERE: Located throughout between NYC and the Catskills
WHO: Women veterans & first responders
Family members are welcome as appropriate for the difficulty level & events, but limited to women & children only to ensure we provide this safe space for our women guardians to gather together
DIFFICULTY: Ratings will vary depending on the activity
DURATION: Four hours or less
Another Summit
Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — such as walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York.
Another Summit’s outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders.
We welcome guardians of all ages and ability levels, including those with accessibility needs, and we work to facilitate access throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC area. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.
