Fahnestock Day Hike

Join our outdoor leaders Dawn and Bill for a 3.3-mile loop hike through the peaceful woods of Fahnestock State Park.

On this outing we'll hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail, passing through groves of maples, oaks, and spruce trees. Along the way we'll pass by several creeks and ponds, and we'll stop for a snack and scenery break at John Allen Pond before finishing our hike. This trail has several short but steep ascents and descents, and will mostly be on rocky terrain with a few stretches of gravel road.
