Boots & Paws
Boots & Paws provides free companion dogs to veterans & first responders.
Dog ownership provides therapeutic benefits, including reducing stress & anxiety, easing depression & loneliness, and encouraging regular exercise.
In addition to their companionship, dogs can help commit owners to routines, create a sense of purpose & accomplishment, and facilitate social interactions.
We also offer contracted therapy dog visitation events, bringing comfort, morale boosts, and stress reduction to businesses, schools, and communities.
Support
Most of our companion dogs are provided thanks to the generous support of sponsors, contributed by individuals or a group.
The $5000 sponsorship package covers the dog along with a comprehensive care package, and a 12 month timeline of financial & expert support. Our staff has a regular cadence of follow-ups with each guardian to ensure they and their dog are doing well.
We bring guardian recipients from near & far to be paired with their new pups. As often as possible, sponsors join us for these awardings, which is a powerful opportunity for connection for everyone involved.
