New York City Adventures
The 2nd Saturday of every month, we host adventures in New York City — providing veterans & first responders access to & education about parks & public lands available within the city. We’ll also provide guidance on how to plan your own outings in the future.
WHAT: A range of activities — hikes, nature walks, kayaking, meditation, nature education, and more!
WHERE: Located throughout the metropolitan area (Central Park, Staten Island Greenbelt, Bronx Botanical Gardens, etc.)
DIFFICULTY: Rated 🟩 Green (moderate) or lower difficulty, very often ADA accessible
DURATION: Four hours or less
Another Summit
Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — such as walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York.
Another Summit’s outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders.
We welcome guardians of all ages and ability levels, including those with accessibility needs, and we work to facilitate access throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC area. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.
