ukulele jam session

In partnership with The Kanikapila Project, our jam sessions are outlets for guardians to explore & enjoy Hawaii’s favorite instrument, the ukulele!

The Kanikapila Project is based in Maui and aims to bring comfort, aloha and wellness through the joy of ukulele.

Led by Larry Santos, Oahu born and raised Air Force Guardsmen who spreads his love and knowledge of ukulele through the Ukulele Project Hawaii; who helps get ukuleles in the hands of keiki.

The jam session is designed for guardians to experience & explore the healing nature of music. We have 10 ukuleles available for use during the event, but please bring your own if you have one.

Guardians of any skill level are welcome to join! No prior music experience necessary. Looking forward to seeing you!

About Kenny

Kenny Constantinides is our Regional Director for Guardian Revival Hawaii and a veteran & former firefighter.

Kenny joined the military two weeks after high school and went on to spend 6 years at SEAL Team 3 with two deployments to the Middle East. He then joined the Santa Barbara City Fire Department and spent 8 years on the laddertruck, heavy rescue, and water rescue team.

Now based in Oahu with his family, Kenny enjoys time in nature, hiking, surfing, paddling, on the beach, and traveling. He leads our GR operations in Hawaii as well as online Wellness Wednesday gatherings with another former Navy SEAL.

“As a veteran and former first responder, I am honored to be able to bring those two communities together to improve the mental and physical well-being of guardians. I am excited to connect with other military & first responders on the island.”
