Mount Beacon Hike

Join the Another Summit crew for a celebratory hike up Mount Beacon to finish off our 2023 One Mile Challenge!

During the month of September (Suicide Awareness Month), Guardian Revival has been raising funds & awareness to reduce veteran & first responder suicide through the One Mile Challenge

  • WHERE: Mount Beacon Scenic Hudson Parking Lot, 788 Wolcott Ave, Beacon, NY 12508

  • DIFFICULTY: 🟨 Yellow (moderately strenuous)

  • DISTANCE: 2 miles

  • DURATION: 1.5 hours

The One Mile Challenge

The Guardian One Mile Challenge is a 30-day virtual walking event designed to raise funds & awareness to combat veteran & first responder suicide in the United States.

Over the course of the one month challenge, participants walk (run, or roll) 30 total miles: 1 mile each day of September.

This is a virtual challenge that operates on the honor system. Participants walk wherever they are and self-monitor their completion of their daily mile. Follow along & share your miles on social! Tag @guardianrevival and use #guardianonemile


Another Summit

Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — such as walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York.

Another Summit’s outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders.

We welcome guardians of all ages and ability levels, including those with accessibility needs, and we work to facilitate access throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC area. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.

  • 🟪 Purple (easiest) ♿

  • 🟦 Blue (easy)

  • 🟩 Green (moderate)

  • 🟨 Yellow (moderately strenuous)

  • 🟥 Red (strenuous)

  • ⬛ Black (very strenuous)
