Women Guardians Outing | April
For our April Women Guardians Outing you can join our outdoor leaders, Elena and Dawn, on a wildflower-spotting walk at the Stony Kill Environmental Education Center in Fishkill.
On this walk, we’ll keep an eye out for some of the native ephemeral wildflowers of New York, such as bloodroot and trillium. Often found blooming from early March to late May — depending on the weather — these gorgeous early-spring blooms only last for a short time, so lets see how many we can spot! We’ll also pause for a picnic lunch by the scenic pasture on Verplanck Ridge.
