Women Guardians Outing | September

For our September Women Guardians Outing, you can join outdoor leaders Elena and Dawn on a peaceful walk along the estuaries of the Hudson River in Beacon, NY.

On this outing, we'll explore the historic Madame Brett Park and scenic Dennings Point, for a total of 3.71 miles along well-maintained, mixed gravel and paved trails. Along the way, we'll get to see a waterfall, wetlands frequented by native and migratory birds, a beach, and with a chance to stop by the Beacon Institute for Rivers and Estuaries.

    • Blue adventures are great for first time hikers, people short on time, or folks with small children.

Another Summit

Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — such as walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York & across the Northeast.

We welcome guardians of all ages and ability levels, including those with accessibility needs, and we work to facilitate access throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC area.

Our outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.

  • 🟦 Blue (easy)

  • 🟩 Green (moderate)

  • 🟨 Yellow (moderately strenuous)

  • 🟥 Red (strenuous)

  • ⬛ Black (very strenuous)
