Black rock Mountain Day Hike
Join our outdoor leaders for a challenging but rewarding day hike through beautiful Black Rock Forest just outside of West Point, NY.
On this outing, we'll complete a 6-mile loop hike that will bring us through much of the western portion of the forest, summiting Black Rock Mountain (1410') and Split Rock (1400'), both with outstanding views of the surrounding valley.
Black Rock Forest is a historic and unique nature conservatory and research center located in the Hudson Valley of New York. Home to the Black Rock Consortium, Black Rock Forest is a scientific hub and educational facility that has been a source of ecological and conservatory research since 1929.
